All cookies are HttpOnly (not readable by scripts), SameSite=Lax and, in production, Secure.
Local browser storage (localStorage)
The course saves a few preferences and your local progress in your browser, without ever sending them to a server:

You can delete them at any time from your browser settings: you will only lose the progress not saved to your account.
Third parties
- Google Fonts: the pages of the account area load fonts from Google's servers (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com). Google receives the request with your IP address; it sets no cookies on this site. - No other external domain receives requests from your browser: there are no pixels, embeds, analytics scripts or social buttons.
The forwarding to PostHog described in the privacy notice happens from our servers, not from your browser: PostHog sets no cookies and loads no scripts on this site.
Why there is no banner
The cookies listed are either necessary for the service to work or used for first-party statistical measurement. The Guidelines of the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (the Italian Data Protection Authority) of 10 June 2021 treat as equivalent to technical cookies the analytics cookies used solely to produce aggregate statistics on a single site, with minimized data and with no third parties cross-referencing or retransmitting them. That is our case: ac_mid is a random value that does not derive from data identifying you, is used only by us and only on this site, solely for counting in aggregate form; in the events we record we do not save your IP address; no third party receives it. And to prevent an identifier, however random, from singling out one browser over time, we keep it to a minimum: the cookie lasts as long as the measurement it has to make, and after 90 days the identifier is automatically removed from the archived events as well — the counts remain, the link between visits is broken, for anyone, including us. At registration it is not linked to the account: the events of registered users use a different identifier and the anonymous history stays anonymous. On this basis we do not ask you for prior consent through a banner, and we account for that here. The only collections that go further — email updates and the copy of the usage measurement sent to the external tool — do not go through cookies: they are optional choices that you turn on and off in
/my/profilo. If you would rather not be counted, you can block or delete
ac_mid from your browser: the course works just the same.
How to manage them
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Without ac_session
it is not possible to stay signed in to your account; without ac_mid the course remains fully usable.
